Take a deep dive into cool climate wine territory and experience our local favourites. If you’re looking for the best in the region, this is the tour for you. Your day starts from your chosen pick-up locations and then we make our way towards the township of Bowral. This bustling village is the place to be on a weekend, with an array of specialty shops, seasonal produce, natural beauty product shops and not to mention cafes with great coffee.
Our first stop of the day is at Centennial Vineyards, one of the largest producers in the region – up to 35 wines on offer. Their wines are made onsite in a state-of-the-art, 200+ tonne winery designed by their winemaker, Tony Cosgriff. Then, we wind our way along Wombeyan Caves Road to Joadja Estate, The Oldest Winery in the region. A visit to this family-owned winery will give you a glimpse into winery life.
We will then head towards the historical village of Berrima, where you will have time to grab some lunch. With an array of options including the award-winning Gumnut patisserie, enjoying a coffee at Berrima General Store people watching, or heading to the Surveyor General Inn for a hearty meal – the choice is yours. If you decide to pack your own lunch, we recommend talking a stroll along the Berrima River Walk and looking for the elusive platypus swimming in the river.
Whilst in Berrima, we will stop in and enjoy a taste of the Canyonleigh grown grapes – giving a distinct flavour to the wines at Peppergreen Estate, before making our way to Southern Highlands Winery, known for its fresh, modern feel serving award winning cool climate wines. This is the perfect location to end the day, with stunning views overlooking the vineyard.
