Guest picks up begins at 9.45am from Mittagong Railway Station followed by Bowral Railway Station as well as any groups staying locally by prior arrangement.
Your day starts near the township of Bowral. This bustling village is the place to be on a weekend, with an array of specialty shops, seasonal produce, natural beauty product shops and not to mention cafes with great coffee.
Our first stop of the day is at Centennial Vineyards, one of the largest producers in the region – up to 35 wines on offer and Gourmet Traveller Wine Best Large Cellar Door in the region 2021. Their wines are made onsite in a state-of-the-art, 200+ tonne winery designed by their winemaker, Tony Cosgriff and they regular have vintages ranked 95 points plus by James Halliday in the Wine Companion Guide.
Then, we wind our way along the old Hume Highway just past Wombeyan Caves Road to Artemis Winery in the region. A visit to this family-owned winery will give you a glimpse into winery life which is also now a Distillery securing them Gourmet Traveller Wine’s Best Additional Cellar Door Experience in the region in 2021.
We will then head towards the historical village of Berrima, where you will have time to enjoy lunch at the Surveyor General Inn and even take a stroll around the village. We recommend talking a stroll along the Berrima River Walk and looking for the elusive platypus swimming in the river.
Whilst in Berrima, we will stop in at the magnificent Bendooley Estate known for its fresh, modern feel serving their cool climate wines in their brand new cellar door. This is the perfect location to end the day, with stunning views overlooking the vineyard and they were award Best Cellar Door with Accommodation from Gourmet Traveller Wine in 2021.
